Red Dead Redemption is a sequel to Red Dead Revolver.
IGN has different teams for each platform and each decides game of the year for that platform, so only the PC guys think that Starcraft II is better than Mass Effect 2. The overall game of the year is given in conjunction by all the editors so I think Mass Effect 2 will likely win.
Looks great but it's clear the game is still early in development, that fight looked pretty rough, that guy's neck at 1:55 had some issues, then it took a second for the scene to trigger at 1:00 and one enemy was floating over the stairs a 0:28. Nothing mayor though, I'm sure it will all get fixed considering how bug free the previous games were.
I hope the 360 doesn't turn into another Wii.
That's America only. GT sold much better in Europe.
Killer 7 had a great story, the twist ending was awesome.
It's not a given considering they already have two announced projects going (Resistance 3 and the new Ratchet). But they were believed to be prepping a multiplatform game so yeah, it's not really surprising.

you're comparing ps3 current online service to xbox live, but think of the ps2 compared to the original xbox. xbox provided the first quality online gaming on consoles mainly thanks to the being the first console with a hard drive, it gave players choice so it was a good thing that it existed, even if it shouldn't cost a thing to play online.
The Xbox division just started to be profitable a couple of years ago, they should just keep it going for now. Besides, competition is always good for the consumers, even if you don't like the Xbox imagine what Sony's online service would be like if Xbox Live hadn't been there to push them to improve it.
How sad is it that it was announced with only one upcoming game and on MTV. And yeah, it's ugly.
I hope they don't call it Silent HIll 8, it would just be confusing considering the last numbered entry was 4.
If they had a new Halo they wouldn't have moved GoW3, they would've just released Halo in September as they always do. I think they moved Gears because they realized they didn't have anything bigger than that for september.
